Transmitting a simple 50% duty cycle signal with a simple Antenna...?

I am to design a circuit that transmit a signal (50% duty using 555 timer) through a simple dipole antenna( just use one of sides), how can I do that? Is there a PDF, website or a book that i can read to see how to send signal to antenna?
