Can i use a regular cable splitter to add antenna (OTA) and analog cable to computer?

Does the splitter need to have two in's, or can it just plug them in anywhere? Do i need to buy a special kind?

Answers:

You must keep cable and antenna separate, and using a splitter that way would combine them and cause them to interfere with each other, and worse, allow antenna signals to get onto cable and cable to get out the antenna, and affect uses of those frequencies,
